The Stop Junk Mail for Good service began as a Zero Waste initiative under Eco-Cycle, Inc., a pioneering non-profit organization based in Boulder, Colorado. We first offered the program to Boulder County residents to stop the annoying junk mail received at home.
Our company founder, Neshama Abraham (pictured left), saw an opportunity to increase the environmental impact by adapting the service to serve large companies. In 2012, we took over the program as a woman-owned mission-driven business continuing to work in partnership with Catalog Choice. Now six years later, we have demonstrated the program’s effectiveness and created long-lasting connections with sustainability managers, facility and operations directors, and mailroom teams.
We are grateful to early adopters including: Amgen, Ball Aerospace, Boulder Community Hospital, and Level 3 Communications for whom we helped stop on average 1/2 to 2/3 of their junk mail from coming to the campus mailroom.
